    Instructions for the DIY Clean Air Box

    Use any tote or box to create your hood

    Choose a plastic storage tote to be used as a hood.

    Typically, a 20-liter tote will work just fine depending on your needs.

    Use the provided template

    Using the given template, place it on the top of your tote and trace the inside of the

    template using a permanent marker, then use a razor or hot knife to cut out the hole.

    Cut a hole and place the unit

    Place the fan/filter housing into the hole.

    Optional, if you glue the template to the underside when the housing is inserted you will

    have a much cleaner fit.

    Fan/filter housing 3d printed from recycled plastic
    Premium fans Dual ball bearing - 5000 rpm fans
    Filter H13 HEPA filter with carbon scrubber. Filter is rated at .2 micron.
    Variable speed Variable speed controller to vary the wind speed inside the box based on your needs.
    Template The provided template is the support from the unit which would normally be waste. Gluing the template to the underneath is also an option.
