Carefully made by Ruland in Marlborough, MA, curved jaw couplings are comprised of two hubs pressed fit with an elastomer "spider" with the same OD. Curved jaw couplings are zero-backlash by design and are well-suited to servo applications where accuracy of torque transmission is required. The yellow spider is made from an advanced polyurethane material and has a balance of torsional stiffness and dampening characteristics. Maximum is 8,000 RPM. RoHS and Reach compliant. Also called a jaw coupling insert or spider.
